More Handpainted Fabric Projects...


Students in Three-D Design made these after looking at the following : Teesha Moore, a site for the The International Quilt Show, and the book by Somerset Studio Publications, Material Visions.

The handbag was made out of rayon velvet and decorated with Sharpie Markers blended with rubbing alcohol, and acrylic paint.  the rest were painted with acrylics on muslin or canvas.

How Many Hours do You Spend Staring at a Screen?

How many hours do you spend staring at a screen? These are responses from Studio Art students (9th - 12th graders). Game consoles, phones, cameras, television, drive-ins and home movies became the subject matter. We used 2 techniques per piece to separate the world of the screen from the "real" world.
